We would like to share some exciting developments we are working through to improve supply chain management for our customers.

SourceMedical customers spend approximately $1.5B per year in consumable supplies, medications and implants. We recently surveyed our customer base to determine how facilities were managing their supplies, with particular focus on order creation, processing and tracking. Our analysis confirmed our market feedback which indicated that supply management was a highly manual process for most facilities and that many of our customers were not leveraging available distributor technology to process orders.

This reconfirmed our belief that by partnering with key distributors we could offer a technology solution that would increase efficiency and improve performance for our mutual clients. As a result of reaching out to key distributors, we are pleased to announce that Cardinal Health, Blue Medical Supply and Medline Industries have agreed to work with SourceMedical to improve ordering efficiency and support our efforts. SourceMedical customers will be able to leverage the SourcePlus PurchaseConnection (PCX) to utilize Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) to improve order management with Cardinal Health, Blue Medical Supply or Medline Industries. EDI facilitates electronic transmission of orders and updates, allowing ASCs or surgical hospitals to receive notices, alerts and price updates electronically – either directly from their SourceMedical application or through the SourcePlus PCX portal. Our technology partner, Inventory Optimization Systems (IOS), is providing the infrastructure and technology to facilitate the connectivity with each supplier.

Other than a one-time implementation fee, customers of SourceMedical and Cardinal Health, Blue Medical or Medline Industries will receive access to the SourcePlus PCX portal at no expense. This new offering replaces the older Vision360 and ePO products which required a monthly support fee. Vision360 and ePO will continue to be available to any customers who would like to continue using them. However, these products will no longer be available for purchase and will be replaced by SourcePlus PCX.

We are currently wrapping up the testing and pilot phase with Cardinal Health for our AdvantX, Vision and SurgiSource products, and will be entering testing shortly with Blue Medical Supply and Medline Industries.

We anticipate adding additional suppliers to our network and we are reaching out to the supplier community to add vendors to the mix. Our objective is to include all vendors a facility would purchase directly from to be in our network. We encourage you to contact your distributors and vendors and encourage them to participate in SourcePlus PCX.
