Daren Smith
Daren Smith received his bachelors of science in Nursing from Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska. He began his nursing career at Omaha's Methodist Hospital - circulating and scrubbing for many different specialty teams in surgical services. Daren quickly developed into a leader and within two years became the Director of Outpatient Services. To further his ambulatory surgery center experience, in 1999 Daren assisted with the development, construction, staffing and opening of a surgical hospital in Salina, Kansas before taking a permanent position as Director of Nurses for Grand Island Surgery Center in Nebraska. Daren spent the next 8 years in Grand Island learning and refining his surgery center leadership skills. In 2007, Daren was asked to spearhead the development and opening of a new surgery center in Fremont, Nebraska and currently serves as Administrator and CEO of Fremont Surgical Center.
