Televox HouseCalls™
We have developed an interface to Televox’s HouseCalls system. TherapySource passes appointment and no show information to HouseCalls. They then can automatically call your patients to remind them of their upcoming appointment or inform them that they have missed an appointment and need to reschedule it.
TherapySource Version 3.52
All clients have been upgraded to this version and it is going very well. Thanks to everyone for their help in getting this done. Feedback from our clients on the new functionality is very positive.
TherapySource Version 4.00
Just as with any house, building or business, occasionally you have to spend the time to remodel or refresh the infrastructure. Sometimes these changes are visible and sometimes they are not. In June, we completed the development effort to upgrade some of TherapySource’s technology infrastructure to be compatible with Microsoft’s new desktop operating system, Vista, and the most current database software, Microsoft’s SQL2005. Since these changes were focused on the infrastructure of the application, there are no visible changes or new functionality. However, a significant development effort was required for these changes and now this release is ready for distribution.
We are currently installing version 4.00 in all of our new clients and it’s going very well. However, since it was a technology upgrade only, and no new functionality was included, there was no real reason for us to upgrade existing clients. Now we have that reason. It came in the form of Transmittal 88 – CMS’s formal document that provided the details on how to handle extending the Plan of Care Certification period from 30 to a maximum of 90 days. See TherapySource 4.1 below for more information about Transmittal 88.
TherapySource Version 4.1
– Targeting Delivery Q4, 2008
CMS announces changes in the Plan of Care Certification process in October, 2007, but details on how to implement the process were not provided until May, 2008 with the expectation that the changes will be retroactive to Jan 1, 2008. Go figure.
What does this mean to us (Both Source and our clients)? This means there will be another product update ASAP. We are in the process of writing all the documentation on the system changes that are required to handle Transmittal 88. This is nearly finished and then we will turn it over to our development staff to complete the changes. The development effort for this project is still undetermined, so I can’t provide a release date just yet, but this is our top priority.
This will be TS version 4.1 and will be built on top of TS Version 4.0, which will require that everyone’s database software be upgraded to SQL2005. We will be sending out the details for this very shortly.
TherapySource Version 4.2
– Targeting Q2, 2009
While our development staff is working on version 4.1, we are also planning the next release, version 4.2 for an expected June, 2009 release. At this time, a few of the items we are targeting for this release include:
- New Reporting Platform – With the upgrade to SQL2005, we are developing a new reporting module that will utilize SQL Reporting Services as the technology platform. This module will initially include all the existing reports in Scheduling, EMR, and Clinic Admin in a central location with added security and filtering capabilities. This platform will provide the technology to develop ad-hoc reporting capabilities in the future. This is exciting stuff, so stay tuned.
- Display a warning message when an Initial Evaluation does not have any Problems and Goals identified.
- Adding the ability to modify the initial diagnosis code. Rehab ToolKit
Rehab ToolKit Version 3.4
We have just completed the development of Rehab ToolKit version 3.4 and are in the process of upgrading clients to this version. This upgrade includes the following new features:
- Support for Vista, Microsoft’s new desktop operating system
- ERA Import Wizard - A new checkbox labeled Post Items Resulting in Credit Balance has been added to the ERA Import Wizard
- The right click options on the Patient Account Status can now be disabled.
- During Charge Posting, you can now Apply Percentage to Charge Amount or Apply Percentage to Cost Amount when a Fee Schedule Percent/Visit is associated to the patient / insurance.
Rehab ToolKit 4.00
Rehab ToolKit needed a technology infrastructure refresh as well. Therefore, Rehab ToolKit 4.0 is built on Microsoft’s SQL2005 database. This will provide enhanced stability, reliability and performance for the product.
We are currently installing this in our new clients and we are developing the data migration routines to allow us to move existing customers to this modern technology.
Additional details on the hardware and software requirements will be coming your way by the end of the year.
Rehab ToolKit 4.10
An exciting new feature we are developing for this release is an EDI Claim File Designer. Just as the Claim Form Designer eliminated the need for Custom Routines to print claims, this functionality will eliminate the need for custom EDI routines.
